New research at McGill University offers hope for preventing hydrocephalus, a serious condition affecting some children with Schinzel-Giedion Syndrome (SGS). In mice with the SGS mutation, an RNA-targeting therapy reduced the number of offspring born with hydrocephalus from 75% to 25%, representing an important step toward potential new treatments.
